Health Competence
Through connecting health and fitness professionals who share our vision with individuals and corporate environments, we thrive as a growing network and platform promoting health education. We prioritize providing value, honesty and giving back to society above anything.
We believe health competence is a skill that should be taught at school. People learn how to communicate, solve mathematical tasks, what evolution is, about history and arts – however, don’t learn how make sure to be and stay at optimal health for as long as possible?
Unfortunately, there is so much contradicting information out there that no one knows what to believe, follow or do anymore with regards to one’s health. The fitness industry has become toxic: ideas and concepts are being sold without context. On the one hand, there are claims for products and services based on “scientific studies” (often with poor designs and non-applicable for the general population), and/or made for the mass, where the majority of people will not achieve the idea they were sold – though, both backed up with strong marketing. On the other hand, there are ideologically based advices in all forms of media that claim for a moralistic right or wrong.
We intend to act as a filter of honesty and reliability to the best of our knowledge and abilities – after studying health for over 10 years and successfully applying the theory into practice with our clients.
Lastly, health competence should become of interest in corporate environments. Healthy employees are more successful (also in their private lifes) while at the same being less of a financial burden to companies and society. Undoubtedly, health and wellness programs have historically shown an impressive ROI for companies.
